Halo 4 is the next blockbuster installment in the iconic franchise that's shaped entertainment history and defined a decade of gaming. Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy that begins with its release in 2012.
Showing Master Chief in his redesigned Mjolnir armour and a Cortana who will apparently be on her last legs in Halo 4's story, these new Halo 4 screenshots really do look the part, indicating that 343's sequel might just be the most attractive Halo yet by some margin.
There's even a look at the revamped Battle Rifle in some of the screenshots, as well as a look at a bit of multiplayer action, as the red and blue forces go head-to-head in Halo 4's Spartan training simulation.
All in all, Halo 4 is looking mighty fine ahead of its November 6th, 2012 launch, which bodes well for the Master Chief's long-awaited return. Check out all seven screenshots below.
